KITCHEN EXPERIMENT TIME: What we have here is an attempt to do an capsaicin oil draw (or an extract) from hot peppers. With some leftover habaneros, jalapeños and red Savina peppers, we’ve roasted and dried them. A quick spin in the processor turned it to chunky dust. (Tip, let stand for 5 minutes before opening processor lid. The airborne powder is like a dry mace). Poured in a very high proof alcohol, and will sit for a week before letting the liquid evaporate. Then we filter, and repeat till this gives us around 2 tablespoons of pure liquid magma. Should come in around 500k on the Scoville scale.
